A French court has declined to overturn Google's €150 million sentence
Alphabet's parent firm was unsuccessful in convincing a French appeals court to reverse a €150 million fine imposed on Google for alleged misuse of power against its own advertisers.
"We already made some changes to make these policies even clearer following the (French competition authority's) original decision," a Google spokesperson said. "We will now study the court's ruling in detail and consider our next steps."
The two supporting regulatory directives that led to the fine have also been annulled, according to the business.
