Google has banned Korean developers from receiving app updates if they use third-party payment systems
Remember that in August 2021, a rule was passed in South Korea prohibiting table owners from requiring developers to use a specific payment mechanism.
As a result, local developers may be able to avoid paying the 30% transaction commission.
Previously, South Korea's regulations spurred authorities and governments throughout the world to pay particular attention to Google and Apple's enormous influence in their data centres.
The European Union, for example, is set to ratify the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which would compel Apple to enable third-party apps and store downloads.
