In 2012, scientists revealed the results of a study of families whose infants were born with birthmarks that matched those on the corpses of their deceased relatives.
In the case of K.N., a Myanmarese kid, the placement of the birthmark on his left arm was found to be identical to the site of the mark on his late grandfather's body.
The boy's grandfather died 11 months before his birth. Many people, including family members, believe this is his grandfather's mark, which was left on his body by a neighbour using regular charcoal.
Ma Tin Shwe was the name given to the boy's grandmother when he was barely over two years old.
His late grandfather was the only one who knew her by that name.
