Retail at the two major air gateways into Paris is slated for a conceptual rethink with a larger focus on experiences so that customers may "take time for themselves" and spend much more once post-pandemic air travel numbers resume.

Extime Duty Free Paris is a new hospitality brand that Groupe ADP, the owner of Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, and Paris-Le Bourget airports, is introducing to revamp its whole retail, services, and food and beverage offering. By 2025, it is desired to increase expenditure per passenger (SPP) to €27.50.

Nearly 150 beauty, gourmet, tech, and fashion stores will be operated by Extime, primarily at Charles de Gaulle International Airport, Orly, and eventually other sites across the world. Subject to the appropriate competition authorities' permission, Groupe ADP will own 51 percent and Lagardère Travel Retail 49 percent of the firm.
