The iPhone keyboard haptic response feature is one of the more subtle but extremely useful features in iOS 16

The haptic response on the iPhone keypad is disabled by default in iOS 16.

Go to Settings > Sounds and Haptic Signals > Keyboard Feedback > Haptic Signals to enable it. Both silent and regular modes of haptic feedback are available.

Although certain third-party keyboards, such as Google Gboard, have long provided haptic feedback, many users prefer to use the original iOS keyboard for privacy reasons.

The reason for this is that third-party apps frequently request access to the keyboard's input tracking.
