NASA is awarding a $70,000 reward to the person who excels in the following five areas:

1. Setting up a base of operations, or "camping out."

2. "Scientific exploration" refers to any activity that involves exploring the surface of Mars.

3. "Maintenance," which entails robotics work;

4. "Exploration," which entails the development of movement tools;

5. "Blow Our Minds"—an extraordinary and one-of-a-kind piece.
