Laurel Schlemmer, 44, was convicted of murdering her two kids, Daniel, 6, and Luke, 3.
The mother alternated drowning the boys in the bathtub, assuming they were both autistic and would never grow up to be normal.
Laurel filled the tub with water, dressed the boys in their superhero pyjamas, and took turns holding them beneath the water that day. She then re-dressed them in dry clothes, styled their hair with a hair dryer, and dialled 911. Luke passed away on the same day as Danielle, and Danielle passed away four days later.
This was not the woman's first attempt to murder her children, she acknowledged to a doctor. She had tied them both up and run her car over them a year before.
