On Friday, February 28, 2025, a Yutong bus carrying people was involved in a graphic accident at Karimenga on the Bolgatanga-Tamale Highway.
At 0630 hours, the Upper East Regional Command got a distress call from the police control, according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
As soon as the assigned rescue squad reached the area, rescue efforts got underway.
Five of the forty-five passengers needed to be rescued because they were stuck.
Regretfully, one limb was eventually discovered in the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, while three were discovered at the site.
According to preliminary investigations, a cargo truck stopped by the side of the road was struck by the Yutong bus driver.
