Concerns and rumours have been raised by a viral video that shows prominent members of the NPP (New Patriotic Party) declining water when it is brought to them at the late John Kumah's home. The video has acquired popularity on social media and has strengthened earlier claims of pois.only within the NPP.



Prominent media personality Captain Smart has earlier claimed that at a Tamale campaign rally, John Kumah was sexually assaulted using Akonfem. Apart from Kumah, Smart also suggested a more extensive poisoning scheme within the NPP by implicating Chairman Wontumi and Andy Appiah Kubi.

The claims have sparked concerns regarding the security and welfare of NPP members; Smart even hinted that the party's flag-bearer and current vice president may have been a target of the poisoning operation.
