James Maddison is still the undisputed creative leader, but Manchester City and Arsenal rule the top 10.
We are all about the SCA (Shot Creating Actions), which are defined by FBREF as "the two offensive actions directly leading to a shot, such as passes, dribbles, and drawing fouls." We are not counting assist-makers because that depends on the chances being taken, nor are we counting key passes because those are also fairly limited.
These are the leaders this season for SCAs per 90 minutes.
1) James Maddison (Tottenham): 8.17 SCAs per 90 minutes
The summer acquisition fit in with Spurs and Ange-ball perfectly. Here, he is absurdly far ahead of the pack and will remain there until an injury prevents him from moving.
2) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal): 5.50
Returning to near-peak form against Burnley, Brentford, Wolves, and Luton, he continues to be a key member of Arsenal.
3) Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United): 5.33
Take away his captaincy at will, but don't do anything else than center a Manchester United assault around him.
4) Jeremy Doku (Manchester City): 5.31
In his match versus Bournemouth, he had 11 of the sods. And then a really impressive eight against Liverpool, of which four came from dribbling past the (elite) opponents. Against the Spurs, he was far less successful.
5) Rodri (Manchester City): 5.22
Simply put, he's an extremely talented football player whose availability may be the most important element in the title fight.
6) Martin Odegaard (Arsenal): 5.2
The Gunners reclaim the top spot in the Premier League as he performs at the peak of his abilities against Wolves.
7) Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool): 5.07
Logged seven SCAs vs. Fulham while enjoying his role as a right-back plus.
8) Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace): 4.74
How Palace will miss him now that he's injured again...
9) Leandro Trossard (Arsenal): 4.58
Just a bloody, beautiful player acting in a bloody, beautiful manner.
10) Johann Berg Gudmundsson (Burnley): 4.54
