Effie Osano is keen

Nancy, Effie Keens Osano's two-year housekeeper, received a prize from her employer for her hard work.

To ensure Nancy wouldn't leave home for Christmas without anything, Effie gave her mother cash, a smartphone, and another feature phone, in addition to a purse.

"She is just an employee like any other person. Taking good care of my daughter every day is not an easy job, plus the house, and I thought because she is going home, a little token is everything," she said.

What did the employer gift the expectant worker?

A video of a pregnant woman receiving an expensive Volkswagen as a present from her job went viral on TikTok in May 2023.

Car dealer @egothatego, who works at Omar's Motor Den in Witbank, South Africa, posted a video on TikTok that touched hearts when the woman responded to the thoughtfulness of it.

Hundreds flocked to the station to congratulate the expectant mother on her new vehicle. She was seen pacing around and expressing her thanks to her boss while shedding tears down her cheeks.

The supervisor gives the worker a vintage automobile.

In July 2023, a kind employer in Florida, USA, won all the praise when he gave his diligent worker a vintage 1968 Falcon.

Pictures and videos were taken when the employee received the car's keys.

The stunned man was overcome with emotion as he marveled at the vintage car and was overjoyed by his boss's generosity.

A 32-kilometer walker receives a vehicle.

Still in the United States, the owner of a moving firm in New Orleans, Louisiana, showed even more kindness when he gave his employee a car as a prize after finding out that the worker had traveled 32 kilometers to report to his new job.

The worker, Carr Walter, said that when his automobile broke down the previous evening, he had to walk to work on his first day.

Walter apparently asked his acquaintances for assistance, but because of the short notice, he was unable to get a ride. He made the decision to walk the entire distance rather than stay behind and went to work at midnight.

When authorities encountered him at the roadside at the 22-kilometer point, they were astounded by his narrative. They took him to a rest area and served him breakfast. He resumed his route after taking a break, and another officer discovered him strolling. He accepted the policeman's offer to be driven to the location.

"I wanted to be there before 8 a.m. I wanted to beat the crew members there to let the company know how dedicated I am," said Walter.

Moved by Walter's resolve, the employer bought him a car.

David Anderson

In the UK, David Anderson was hailed for his unusual generosity after he gave his employees KSh113,000 each to alleviate the rising cost of living.

He handed similar packages to young apprentices in the company who still live at home with their parents.

"When you talk to individual staff members, there's a fear of fuel going up—they were putting Sh9,000 in their tank, and it is now at Sh12,000," said Anderson.
