Apple closes stores before the launch of the iPhone 15

As usual, Apple has temporarily shut down its online store in preparation for the beginning of pre-sales for big devices. It will reopen at 5 a.m. Pacific/8 a.m. Eastern to begin accepting orders for the iPhone 15.

The entire Apple Store has been demolished, as per usual, and replaced with a sign that reads, "We can't wait either." The store will now be closed for a number of hours before opening again in time for preorders, or often a few minutes later.

Nothing can be purchased from Apple online when the store is shut down, including any previously offered devices. This year, that includes the Series 9 and Ultra 2 Apple Watches, both of which went on sale following the September 12 event.

Buyers will also no longer be able to pre-configure the iPhone 15 they choose. Before this closure, a customer may choose the model, color, storage space, and any financing choices at their leisure before preserving their decision and being prepared for the commencement of pre-orders.

Anyone who has already done this will be able to make changes to their order before finalizing it, but they cannot do so until pre-orders have begun. However, there will surely be a spike in demand at that time, and some models might even sell out.

If a buyer's desired model of the iPhone 15 does sell out, it is inevitable that it will return to stock in the future. There are currently no indications of the significant delays that derailed the release of the iPhone 14; nonetheless, it is unclear when additional stocks will be added.

However, it is obvious that Apple's retail stores will get inventories of the entire range on Friday, September 22, 2023, the day pre-orders will be delivered to customers.

Therefore, even though configuring a decision in advance to beat the rush is no longer an option, the Apple Store alternative is still available if necessary.

The entry-level iPhone 15 from Apple costs $799, while the iPhone 15 Pro costs $999. The price of the new iPhone 15 Pro Max is now $1,199.
