Dummies for the iPhone 15 are (usually) incompatible with cases for the iPhone 14
Apple is renowned for its conservative approach to design, making significant visual changes infrequent. Before adopting a new style, Apple typically sticks with the same aesthetic for at least a few generations.
Yet, most reports claim that this year will be significant for the iPhone since the iPhone 15 range will bring about some purportedly significant design changes to the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra). Curved edges, narrower bezels, a titanium frame, and, obviously, a larger camera bump are all part of this.
Mac Otakara, a Japanese website, performed an intriguing experiment in a video that was later reported in depth by MacRumors. It included comparing cases compatible with the current iPhone 14 series to what we assume are accurate iPhone 15 dummies (at least based on the most recent leaks).
The end result was that only the iPhone 15 Plus model was compatible with the iPhone 14 Plus's cover. This implies that the adjustments may have a bigger impact in practice than they do in writing. Also, it's very likely that the cases for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max won't work with the next generation of iPhones.
Although some people might find that disappointing, there is nothing more thrilling when it comes to new flagship debuts than a design refresh. The problem is that, as smartphones have improved recently on the hardware side, the visual appeal has become a more important factor in luring customers.

The iPhone 15 lineup will, thankfully, satisfy. The Dynamic Island of this year's Pro iPhones will be adopted by the vanilla versions, which will miss out on the new design. This means that anyone looking to purchase an iPhone 15 will be able to find something.
