Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Danlad Ibrahim, two players in the Ghana Premier League, have interacted with Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal.
After Ghana's opening-day loss to Portugal, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner met the Hearts of Oak forward and Asante Kotoko goalie.
After a contentious penalty was given to the former Manchester United forward, Ronaldo opened the scoring for the 2016 European champions. At Stadium 974, Portugal defeated Ghana 3-2 in a thrilling match.
As Ghana was eliminated from the competition after the group stage, Barnieh and Ibrahim were unable to play for the Black Stars.
The Black Stars beat South Korea in the second group match after falling to Portugal in the opening round.
However, the team struggled when it counted, losing to Uruguay 2-0 to exit the competition.
In the meantime, Ronaldo and Portugal advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals after trouncing Switzerland in their round of 16 match.
In the round of eight, Portugal will play Morocco of North Africa.
