A man spends $1,461.63 on a Macbook Pro but receives dog kibble instead

A Macbook Pro was ordered by a man from the UK through Amazon; however, he never received it. When he discovered that the pricey laptop he had ordered had been replaced with five pounds of dog food, he was astonished. People have mistakenly gotten non-Apple products in place of orders before. When ordering an iPhone from Flipkart, an Indian man once received a detergent bar. The business later gave him a refund.
According to Yahoo, on November 29, Alan Wood of Derbyshire, UK, paid 1,200 pounds (Rs 1,20,000) for a MacBook Pro from Amazon for his daughter. But in an unexpected turn of events, Wood ended up with five pounds of dog food.
Two boxes of Pedigree dog food, each containing 24 packets of the "Mixed Selection in Jelly" varieties, were included in the delivery that Wood received from Amazon, according to Wood.
You can picture the expression on my face when I thought I was opening a MacBook Pro, but it was dog food, Wood said. He added that when he reported the matter, Amazon's support staff was unhelpful.
I was first optimistic that the confusion could be fixed, but after speaking with Amazon customer service, they told me they couldn't assist. That was unless I gave back the laptop, which I never did, and even then, it didn't matter whether I returned the dog food to the warehouse, according to Wood.
Wood claimed that he repeatedly called Amazon. He spoke with Amazon for more than 15 hours. Nothing he did, including taking the issue to management and other departments, was successful. But every conversation "finished the same way, and they wouldn't listen to me," he continued.
"In the 20 years that I've been an Amazon client, I've never experienced a problem." "But given my circumstances, this has been a very stressful situation, and the way I've been treated has discouraged me from ever ordering from them again," he continued. According to a spokeswoman for Amazon, the company is in contact with the consumer and will give a full refund.
