The World Cup trophy was blessed by a Ghanaian preacher after it arrived in Ghana on Saturday.
In order to promote the 2019 World Cup in Qatar, FIFA sent the World Cup trophy on a two-day visit to Ghana.
On Saturday, Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association, and Mustapha Ussif, the minister of sports, welcomed former France striker David Trezeguet to the country with the trophy.
However, a preacher who was present for the viewing of the golden gong utilized the occasion to pray for the Black Stars to win the trophy and bring it back to Ghana in December in a social media video.
"This time, we pray that you will take this cup and go back to Ghana for a fun celebration. In the great name of Jesus, we prophesy. Then the Pastor, Sammy, spoke the word "amen."
