 According to CNN, Russian actions at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant "have posed a major risk of a nuclear incident."

 

Russian actions at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie Jenkins stated that "Russia has created a serious risk of a nuclear incident, a dangerous radiation release that could threaten not only the people and environment of Ukraine, but also the neighbouring countries and the entire international community."

 

Jenkins continued to demand that Russia cease its military exercises near the nuclear power plant. She also emphasised how crucial it is for the IAEA to have access to the plant and conduct inspections.
