Google's Pixel phones are now receiving Android 13. However, if you have a Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, or Pixel 6A with the manufacturer's unique Tensor chip and wish to update, you won't be able to flash back to Android 12 due to a bootloader change, according to a note on Google's developer website.
According to the announcement, a bootloader upgrade that increases the anti-rollback version is included in the Android 13 update for the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a. You won't be able to flash earlier Android 12 builds on these devices after flashing an Android 13 build.
Additionally, now is the time to do it if you were a member of the Android 13 beta test group and want to exit the cycle of rapid updates without wiping your device, which is often required to exit the queue. Visit Google's beta website to unenroll once your phone has upgraded to the most recent Android release version.
Improved customization tools and a new permission option to cut back on notifications are just two of the excellent new features that come with Android 13. The release is currently only available for Pixels, but later this year it's anticipated to reach handsets from other manufacturers, including Samsung and OnePlus.
