Hypebeast, a Hong Kong-listed streetwear and culture firm, has revealed ambitions to list on Nasdaq through a merger with Iron Spark, a US special purpose acquisition firm, in a deal worth up to $180 million.
In the transaction, American football player Tom Brady, tennis sensation Naomi Osaka, and Hollywood actor Jonah Hill, among others, will purchase $13.3 million worth of Hypebeast stock.
Hypebeast will be valued at $534 million when the deal is approved by shareholders and regulators.
By the third quarter of this year, the transaction is expected to be finalized.
