A 23-year-old guy named Dakurah Eyilisun was killed in a horrific accident on the Bole–Damongo highway, and his mother, Alice Eyilisun, 34, was critically injured.
The tragedy happened in the Savannah Region on Saturday, May 31, 2025, close to the Damongo Municipal Assembly.
The two victims were riding a motorbike along the side of the road when a bus from Bole to Tamale crashed into it, according to eyewitnesses.
Dakurah Eyilisun died instantly because of the crash's impact, and her mother was seriously injured.
Chief Inspector Grace Odurowaa Boateng, the Savannah Regional Police PRO, confirmed the event to Channel One News, stating that the victim was declared dead at the hospital.
She further said that the injured man is still in serious condition and is presently being treated at St. Anne Catholic Hospital in Damongo.
