Students are in danger when the roof of the lone elementary school in the Tutukpene hamlet is torn off by a downpour

The roof of the lone basic school in the Tutukpene hamlet in Nkwanta South, Oti Region, was torn off by a powerful downpour, causing significant damage.

Students, instructors, and locals were shocked by the storm that hit on Friday night since it disrupted academic activity and destroyed school infrastructure with high winds and heavy rainfall.

Obrempongba Owusu of Adom News visited the area and saw the magnitude of the damage, including ruined educational supplies and classrooms exposed to the weather.

Francis Adu, the local assemblyman, has urgently called for assistance from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), NGOs, the Nkwanta South Assembly, and private organizations in order to repair the school.

He claims that the harm is severe and endangers students' education. In order to fix the school and guarantee that classes start as soon as possible, he emphasized the necessity of quick action.

Members of the School Management Committee (SMC) and local authorities urged all parties involved to put the children's safety and welfare first by helping to quickly restore the school.
