The well-known Ghanaian rapper Edem, real name Anthony Denning Agbeviadey, was charged in court and given GH₵50,000 for allegedly bringing down a woman who was said to be in her 40s.
Upon arriving at the police hospital in Accra, the woman was declared deceased.
Two counts of negligently causing harm and reckless and inconsiderate driving were brought against him.
The incident occurred when the Ghanaian rapper was traveling from Abeka towards Spintex Road along the George Walker Bush Highway, according to the case's facts.
The "Nyedzilo" hitman is said to have been in the middle lane when he knocked down the victim a short distance from the Dimples roundabout.
But his plea went unanswered. He's scheduled to return on February 15, 2024.
