Asus smartphones are still not bootloader-unlockable
Like Chinese companies, ASUS offers its own unlocking tool for their phones.
In order to enable support for unlocking the Asus Zenfone 10, Asus previously announced that it was temporarily discontinuing its unlocking tool service. The service is expected to resume in Q3.
Before, it was discovered during a chat with Asus support that ASUS has disabled the ability to root and bootloader unlock their devices, specifically the Zenfone and ROG Phone series.
However, Asus refuted the news, saying that the staff had misinterpreted it, and they made it clear that it will be accessible in the future.
Regretfully, the situation hasn't changed in the two months since Q3 ended.
Since the tool is currently unavailable, owners of Zenfone 10 smartphones and those who just purchased Asus devices are unable to unlock their phone's bootloader.
