You will need to pay full console game rates if you want to purchase the recently revealed Resident Evil 4 remaster on the iPhone 15 Pro. The main game for Resident Evil 4 will cost $59.99 when it launches later this year, the same launch price as its PS5 and Xbox series S/X debut in March, according to information tucked away in the game's App Store page.

Along with further in-app purchases for weapon upgrades costing between $2.99 and $9.99, an additional DLC pack is also offered for $19.99. The game is presently available for presale, and although Capcom has not officially specified a release date (the December 31st date on the App Store is only a placeholder), it is anticipated to be on sale before the end of 2023.

On October 30th, the slightly earlier Resident Evil Village game will also be made available for $39.99 for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPads with an M1 processor (or above).

Resident Evil 4's price may appear high in this instance, but only when measured against other mobile games or free-to-play versions. Instead, Apple is claiming that the iPhone 15 Pro can play a console game at console-level performance, so if it lives up to expectations, paying console costs won't seem totally ridiculous.

For individuals who wish to test the performance prior to making a purchase, a small amount of the main game's material will be available to play for free. Additionally, the Resident Evil 4 remake will enable universal purchasing, enabling users to play it on all three platforms without having to pay again if they purchase it for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, or MacBook with an M1 chip (or later).
