In a 1-1 tie with AmaZulu, Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah scores his first goal for Maritzburg
In his debut game for his new team, Maritzburg United, the Ghanaian attacker Kwame Peprah scored on Friday when they were defeated at home by AmaZulu FC in the South African Premier League.
Since joining the Team of Choice on loan from the Orlando Pirates for the remainder of the season, Peprah received his first career start.
A few hours before the round 19 match at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg began, the 22-year-old forward obtained his permission.
After 32 minutes, the former King Faisal Babes player scored his first goal in just his first game for Maritzburg. Young midfielder Karim Kimvuidi provided the assist.
Guily Manziba, a Congolese attacker who played in stoppage time, gave AmaZulu a chance to tie the score extremely late in the game.
Peprah officially moved to Maritzburg on January 12, 2023, in search of more playing time after finding it difficult to get regular playing time at the Soweto Giants since the start of the 2022–2023 season.
