Murat Yakin, the head coach of Switzerland, has selected a highly capable starting lineup for their test match against Ghana on Thursday in Abu Dhabi.
In the final practice match before the start of the World Cup in Qatar, the Red Crosses play the Black Stars at Zayed Sports City.
Granit Xhaka, the captain of Arsenal, Manuel Akanji of Manchester City, and Xherdan Shaqiri, a seasoned attacker, will all start for Yakin.
The midfield is made up of Xhaka, Remo Freuler, and Denis Zakaria, with Akanji, Fabian Schar, and Eray Comert forming the back three.
Both Silvan Widmer and Ruben Vargas play wingback.
Yann Sommer, the team's starting goalie, is back in action after recovering from an injury that sidelined him for more than a month.
Breel Embolo, a star striker for Monaco, will spearhead Switzerland's attack in the match that begins in 45 minutes.
