Alidu Seidu, a defender for the Black Stars, claims that just because the national team is a bigger stage for him does not mean he should feel pressured.
The 22-year-old made his debut for Ghana in the Kirin Cup against Japan in June and has since made three appearances for the team.
He claims that his accomplishments at the club level are what get him called up to the national team. He does not, therefore, need to exhibit any additional behavior that would put him under pressure.
My dream is to play music. Seidu remarked on Star Connect, "I won't say because it's the national team and it's big; I have to put pressure on myself."
I was selected for the national team based on my performance for my club, so I aim to replicate it or give my all for the team.
The versatile athlete previously admitted that one of his dreams was to play for the Black Stars, and he would like for the World Cup to come true as well.
Ghana's World Cup campaign in Qatar gets underway on November 24 when they take on Portugal. In Group H, they'll also face Uruguay and South Korea.
