Candace Cameron Bure is responding to the criticism of her most recent remarks.

The former Full House star is attempting to make her position more clear in response to criticism she received after declaring to The Wall Street Journal that the Great American Family network, where she serves as chief creative officer, "will keep traditional marriage at the core."

In a statement released on November 16, Candace said, "I have great love and affection for all individuals." It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone could think I would want to hurt or offend anyone on purpose.

She continued by going into further detail about the kinds of stories that might be aired on the Great American Family network.

"More faith-based programming has long been something I've wished for a home for," Candace remarked. "I'm honored to be a crucial component of a fledgling network that is expanding." In my interview, which was left out, I also mentioned that people of all ethnicities and identities have greatly contributed to the network and will continue to do so in the future, both in front of and behind the camera. "I wholeheartedly encourage and support this."

"I've never been interested in evangelizing through my storytelling, only in using it to celebrate God's greatness in our lives," the woman continued.

"Any race, creed, sexual orientation, or political party," the actress continued, "including those who have tried to bully me with name-calling," are people she loves.

Her statement came after several famous people criticized her claim that the Great American Family Network has no intention of airing same-sex relationships. JoJo Siwa expressed her dissatisfaction on Instagram after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021.

JoJo wrote on November 15 in reference to their argument earlier this year: "Honestly, I can't believe after everything that went down just a few months ago that she would not only create a movie with the intention of excluding LGBTQIA+ but then also talk about it in the press." This is impolite and hurtful to the entire community, I say.
