Awudu Issaka, a former Black Star player, has explained why he believes Felix Afena Gyan, a young Ghanaian, was supposedly left off the Black Star roster.

 

 

 

The former Black Star player alleged in an interview with a local Ghanaian television station that Afena Gyan's departure from AS Roma during the summer transfer window was the cause of his rejection from the Black Stars roster.

 

 

 

He added, "I think Afena Gyan would have qualified for the World Cup if he had been still playing for AS Roma and Jose Mourinho, but I believe he's still young and has a long way to go before qualifying for the next World Cup."

 

 

 

The Black Stars' official roster has not yet been made public. However, camp insiders claim that Coach Otto Addo has already called players not included on the 55-man list to explain his choice.
