Rahim Ibrahim, a young midfielder from Ghana, scored his first goal ever for AS Trencin in their decisive Fortuna Liga victory over Slovan Bratislava.
On Sunday, the 21-year-old came off the bench to score as Trencin racked up a commanding 4-0 victory at home.
The game's first goal was scored after Cape Verdean defender Kelvin Pires gave the home team the lead in the 20th minute.
Another Cape Verdian forward, Eynel Soares, doubled the lead for Trencin after eleven minutes.
Before Ibrahim completed the victory with four minutes remaining, Pires scored once more for Trencin in the 58th minute to extend their lead.
After 73 minutes of play, Ibrahim entered the game in place of Dominik Holly, a young player.
The central midfielder, who previously played for Accra Lions FC, joined the Slovakian team in October 2020 but didn't make his debut until July 2021.
In the 2021–22 season, he went on to play for Trencin in 29 matches across all competitions.
Throughout his 14 appearances across all competitions in the 2022–23 season, Ibrahim has scored twice—once in the Slovakian Cup and once in the league.
