Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, the founder and president of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, has rejected suggestions that Ghana's World Cup team in Qatar should use Black Stars captain Andre Ayew as a substitute.

The former West Ham star has worked hard for this country and shouldn't be treated as a bench warmer, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh said on GTV's Breakfast show.

Dede Ayew, according to him, has made a number of sacrifices that cannot be disregarded. The well-known evangelist said that individuals who want the Black Stars skipper to sit out games are just envious of the player's accomplishments.

The speaker claimed that Dede Ayew, who has been with the youth squad since he was much younger and helped them win the u-20 World Cup, is an inspiration.

He has always supported the Black Stars, and he is currently the only player with more caps than Asamoah Gyan. Therefore, you don't discard those who have worked hard.

"We need to put an end to the idea that Ghanaians are jealous and envious of other people's achievements." Dede Ayew is a talented football player who has performed admirably. He is also the captain right now. We require someone like him if we are to achieve the team cohesiveness that is necessary.

"You've demoralized the team, and people won't die for the country if we bench him in favor of the new guys who have arrived," the coach said. Therefore, it is completely illogical, according to Dr. Lawrence Tetteh.

As he prepares for his third World Cup after participating in the 2010 and 2014 tournaments, Ayew has been in superb form. In his last five Al Sadd games, he has scored three goals.
