Mustapha Ussif, the minister of youth and sports, disclosed that a plan had been developed by all Black Stars participants to guarantee Ghana's victory at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana, according to the Minister, will win the World Cup later this year and live up to its status as an African football superpower.
In Accra on Saturday, as part of the Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup trophy tour of Ghana, he made the news.
"Ghana is hopeful and believes that, Insha Allah, come November or December, we will be bringing the trophy back here to Ghana as the champions of the football family," he said. Ghana is a football powerhouse in Africa.
"Insha Alla in December, the stars will shine in Qatar," they say, "and we have a strategy with the major stakeholders of the sports industry to put our plans together."
Ghana will compete in Group H on November 24 against Portugal, November 28 against South Korea, and December 2 against Uruguay.
