When he was 4 years old, Prince Louis recalled a stunning and terrible event that followed the passing of Queen Elizabeth.
On September 10, the boy's mother, Kate Middleton, the new Princess of Wales (formerly the Duchess of Cambridge), met supporters of the late monarch at Windsor Castle and conveyed what her youngest son had said about his paternal great-grandmother to her.
The Sunday Times stated that Banita Ranow, a sympathiser, claimed Kate told a gathering of kids, "Louis said at least Grannie is with great grandfather now." According to the site, Banita claimed the princess was "welling up" while she spoke.
On September 8, the Queen passed away at the age of 96. She was predeceased by Prince Philip, her spouse of 73 years, who died in 2021 at the age of 99.
Kate was joined at Windsor Castle by her husband and future heir to the throne, Prince William, with whom she also shares children, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince George, 9, who, in an interview with the princess for an ITV documentary in 2016, referred to the monarch as "Gan-Gan" when he was a young child.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have been married for more than two years, joined the Prince and Princess of Wales. This comes amid reports of tensions between the two families over the latter couple's impending departure from the British royal family in 2020.
