- The Redmi A1's software experience will be clean.
- The Redmi A1 ought to have two back cameras.
Tomorrow (September 6) in India, Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, will introduce the A-series with the release of the new Redmi A1. The new A-series appears to be distinct from what Xiaomi introduced with the mid-range Mi A1 a few years ago. The new Redmi A1, however, appears to be a low-cost option.
The Redmi A1 will arrive in India on September 6 at noon, the company announced on Friday, September 2.
The smartphone has its own landing page on the company's website, which reveals it will have a 5,000 mAh battery and be powered by an unnamed MediaTek SoC. It will also provide a "clean Android experience," which may refer to a phone running Stock Android like Xiaomi's earlier A-series models. Regarding the appearance, we can see that the device's back will have a leather-like texture. The smartphone is also visible in the colours blue, black, and green, but more possibilities might be offered at launch. The Redmi A1 will take part in the 'Diwali With Mi' promotion, according to Redmi.
A MediaTek Helio A22 SoC is expected to power the Redmi A1. It is claimed to be 76.56mm wide and 164.67mm long. According to a supposedly accurate Geekbench listing, the phone could have 3GB of RAM and come pre-installed with Android 12.
Tomorrow in India, Redmi plans to introduce the Redmi 11 Prime 4G and 11 Prime 5G, among other products. A MediaTek Helio G99 SoC will be inside. A 50-megapixel triple rear camera array will also be present. A 5,000 mAh battery will be present on the front.
