In preparation for the next West Africa Deaf Football Union (WADFU) competition in Senegal later this month, the Ghana Deaf Football Association (GDFA) has signed new members to the Black Wonders national squad.

 

Based on their remarkable performance at the national deaf gala event conducted last month at the Accra Sports Stadium, the GDFA technical staff selected twenty-four players.

 

Six of them were from Heart of Wolves, the league winners at the moment, and the Madina-based Deaf Football Club (DFC).

 

The participants are central defender Anang Andrews, midfielder Adomoko Emmanuel, goalkeeper Nicholas Edzen, attacker Martin Nyarko, left back Joshua Ofori Ntow, and right defender Plus Appiah.

 

Austine Ayisi Asaah, a midfielder; Bibi Idi, a goalkeeper; John Saboah, a wing forward; and Enoch Amoah, a central midfielder, are four members of the Western Deaf Warrior club.

 

Four further Tema DFC players, Anchews Kyei (midfielder), Wonder Korto (midfielder), Nkrumah Isaac (winger), and Kwadwo Oboni (forward), have been shortlisted.

 

The three members of the Accra Ambassador DFC are David Quaye, a forward; Kennedy Asiedu, a right defender; and Osae Lawrence, a midfielder.

 

Joshua Frimpong, a midfielder, and goalie Mohammed Faruko are both members of the Wild Jagur Deaf Football Club.

 

Midfielder Bono Golden of the DFC Goalkeeper Samuel Kusi, Red Star DFC, Kwasi Apenteng-forward, Kasoa DFC Samuel Kojo Asahin, Ablekuma DFC The shortlist includes central defender George Amoah, midfielder Robert Mensah, and professional DFC.
