Hearts of Oak midfielder Frederick Ansah Botchway, a former midfielder for Hearts of Oak, has officially joined Adama City FC of the Ethiopian Premier League.
According to GHANAsoccernet.com, the 25-year-old moved from FC Samartex to Adama on a permanent basis for an undisclosed sum.
Botchway's transfer to the newly-promoted Ghana Premier League team was revealed two weeks after the deadline had passed.
He signed with Samartex, but he never played a single game for the team before being moved to the Ethiopian team.
After passing his medical exam on Sunday, Botchway finalised his move to the nation of East Africa by signing a one-year contract.
The former Liberty Professionals player joined Hearts in January 2020, spending his entire time there playing 60 games across all competitions.
When the Phobians won the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup last season, Botchway had a major impact on the team.
